Caretuals & Ayurveda

We hear the word ‘Ayurveda’ or ‘Ayurvedic’ thrown around a lot in the past few years. What does it actually mean? What does it have to do with beauty in the case of Caretuals? There is an abundance of information out there along with courses and quizzes. Let’s take a look at what role Ayurveda has for Caretuals and how it works for your own self care rituals.

Ayurveda is one of the oldest healing science developed more than 5,000 years ago in ancient India originating from Vedic traditions. In Sanskrit, Ayurveda translates to Ayur - life and Veda - science or knowledge. Ayurveda is used primarily as a medicinal guide for health promoting balance of body, mind and spirit. Imbalances of any type due to seasonal and environmental changes are remedied with what your intake is and how it affects you.

Beauty begins with what you put in your mouth and that should not be ignored. Using nature for beauty, or simply stepping into the kitchen to whip up a face mask to fix a blemish or hair mask to combat dandruff is something common in Vedic traditions. Spices, herbs, grain flours, yogurts, milk etc. come together to form these Ayurvedic beauty remedies.

Caretuals is committed to inspire the discovery of self care rituals in our lives; to create wellness that begins with us and uplifts the world. These self care rituals have many facets and may look different depending on the person and their lifestyle, current circumstances and even simply their preferences. They may be around beauty, rest, recreation, nature, cooking and eating, spirituality, religion, socializing, artwork you name it. Caretuals simply gives you a sampling of what is possible to create your self care rituals with.

Including natural beauty products stemming from the Vedic traditions is what I find to be important for my own self care rituals. I find these herbs utterly fascinating and love creating these concocted oils that have more than 20 herbs in them. I am excited to bring these products to you hoping that they can be a part of your self care rituals. Ayurvedic herbs like Neem, Manjistha, Tulsi, Saffron, Rose and an abundance of others form beautiful mixtures and elixirs to create these beauty products.

From face masks to oils to gentle cleansers all made from Ayurvedic herbs, these products can be used as standalone or along with your current skin care. It can be a daily ritual or a weekly, that is upto you who are creating your rituals.

These products are not designed for any specific skin types and are encouraged to be used as your skin needs them. For example those with oily skin should not shy away from our gorgeous face oils. Like dissolves like, and when used properly these face oils can do wonders for your skin. You may need a mask that is nourishing one week and something more pore cleansing the week after. It is all about balance and learning what to use when your skin needs it.

I am always available for a free beauty consultation. Feel free to use the contact form or send me a message on selfcare@caretuals.com
